Bedford is a city located in Taylor County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,620. It is the county seat of Taylor County. Lake of Three Fires State Park is located a few miles Northeast of Bedford.
Bedford is located at 40°40'6" North, 94°43'16" West (40.668317, -94.721092), along the East Fork of the One Hundred and Two River.
